What is Paystack Index?
What is Paystack Index?
Paystack Index lets your AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, or OpenClaw — complete real transactions on your behalf in Nigeria: buying airtime and data, paying bills, ordering food, and sending money. Everything runs on Paystack’s payment infrastructure.
Who built it?
Index was built by TSG Labs, the emerging technology studio within The Stack Group (Paystack’s parent company).
Is it official? Is it safe?
Yes. Index is an official Paystack product. All money movement runs through Paystack’s existing infrastructure, with the same safeguards as Paystack’s core product. Your financial data is encrypted, and Index never holds your card details — those stay with Paystack’s hosted payment page.
Is it free?
Creating an account is free. You pay for what you buy — airtime and data at face value, bills at the amount you specify, food at the order total, and transfers at the amount you send (Zap may charge a small transfer fee on top).
Why is it "early access"?
Index is launching gradually so the team can learn from real usage before expanding features, supported agents, and countries. If you’ve signed up, your account will be approved in due course.
Which countries is it available in?
Nigeria only at launch. Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa are coming soon — join the waitlist at paystack.com/index.
Where does my data go?
Index shares only what’s needed to complete your request — for example, your delivery address goes to Chowdeck for a food order; your phone number goes to the network for an airtime purchase. Your AI agent sees your requests because that’s who you’re talking to. For full details, see the Privacy Notice.
