Transfers and Zap
Can I send money to a bank account?
Yes, through your linked Zap account. Transfers go directly from your Zap balance. You need to have Zap linked to send money.
How do I link my Zap account?
From your Index dashboard. If you don’t have a Zap account, you can open one in minutes at the Zap app.
How does transfer approval work?
By default, every transfer requires your approval via a WhatsApp message. Index sends you the transfer details — recipient, bank, and amount — and you tap Yes to approve or Decline to cancel. The request expires after 10 minutes. If it expires, your Zap balance is not touched and you can ask your agent to prepare the transfer again.
What are the transfer limits?
₦50,000 per transfer. Your Zap account tier also applies a daily limit — Tier 1 is ₦50,000/day, Tier 2 is ₦200,000/day. You can upgrade your Zap tier in the Zap app.
Are there fees?
Zap may charge a small transfer fee on top of the amount you send. You’ll see the total — amount plus fee — before you approve.
My transfer hasn't arrived.
